Jane Whitehouse MISSING; – The search for an elderly woman who has gone missing persists following the discovery of her vehicle abandoned on a forest service road. Eighty-two-year-old Jane Whitehouse was reported missing on October 25, with her last known sighting occurring at 10:10 a.m. that same day in Aldergrove, British Columbia.
Authorities have acquired a recent image of Whitehouse from surveillance footage, which depicts her attire at the time of her disappearance. The Langley RCMP initially believed she was driving a grey Dodge Grand Caravan, bearing the license plate CP6 01A. Subsequently, police confirmed that the van was located near Harrison Lake on Sunday.
Albert Fuchs discovered her vehicle on Harrison East Forest Service Road, situated on the eastern side of Harrison Lake, and promptly notified the authorities. The van was found over 150 kilometers from her last known location.
Eileen Antosh, Whitehouse’s daughter, reported that her mother’s shoes were located on Monday. “I have just spoken with search and rescue. They had numerous personnel out there searching for my mother,” she stated.
On Monday, a drone was deployed in the vicinity to assist in the search for Whitehouse. “Regrettably, she was not located, but they did find her other shoe,” Antosh remarked. “My mother has been exposed to the elements for a considerable duration.” Members of the Kent Harrison Search and Rescue team resumed their search efforts in the area on Tuesday.
Cpl. Craig van Herk indicated that search and rescue personnel are focusing their efforts near the site where the van was found. “They conducted a search yesterday and have returned today to look for Jane or any clues that might lead us to her location,” van Herk noted. Both Agassiz RCMP and Langley RCMP are actively investigating and following up on leads regarding potential sightings. Anyone with information regarding Whitehouse is encouraged to reach out to the police.
