James McIlwain Obituary, Death;- A 39-year-old individual was fatally shot in south Charlotte early Saturday morning, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Authorities reported that they found James McIlwain deceased from a gunshot wound at approximately 2 a.m. on Wallingford Street.
Officers indicated that an unidentified suspect had escaped the scene prior to their arrival.
