On Tuesday, Sayreville police confirmed the identity of the deceased as James Gibbons, who was involved in the crash that took place at 5:45 a.m. on November 14.
According to police reports, a flatbed trailer detached from the commercial truck that was towing it, leading to collisions with at least five other vehicles traveling on Route 9 South.
