James Etta Bell Obituary, Death; – A woman has been apprehended in relation to a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian in Lake Charles.
The incident led to the fatality of 67-year-old James Etta Bell, a resident of Lake Charles, according to police reports. Bell was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Nelson Road and Imperial Boulevard on Monday evening, after which the driver fled the scene without providing assistance or identifying themselves.
Upon the arrival of law enforcement, Bell was discovered lying in the roadway and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators were able to identify a suspect vehicle, which was located on Friday at a residence on Chris Lane. Brandice L. Watson, 44, also from Lake Charles, was subsequently arrested and charged with hit-and-run driving resulting in death or serious bodily injury.
