James Dean Ramsey Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life following a high-speed collision at the intersection of MacArthur Boulevard and West Crescent Dover Road in Logan County.
As reported by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the individual was operating a 2000 Toyota Tacoma at excessive speeds while traveling southbound on MacArthur Boulevard, approaching Crescent Dover Road.
Authorities indicated that the truck was unable to halt at the stop sign due to the high velocity. The vehicle reportedly became airborne, resulting in it rolling onto the driver’s side. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated that the driver was partially ejected through the driver’s side window and was also partially trapped beneath the truck.
The man was declared deceased at the scene and has been identified as 50-year-old James Dean Ramsey. The incident is believed to have been caused by excessive speed. Investigators noted that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
