Jaliyah Compton,Adam Lewis Obituary, Death; – The two people killed in a Falls City domestic murder-suicide on Aug. 20 were identified on Wednesday.
Richardson County Attorney Samantha Scheitel identified the victim as 23-year-old Jaliyah Compton and the suspect as 27-year-old Adam Lewis, both of Pawnee City. The two shared a child together.
Scheitel said Compton had been staying with a friend in Falls City around the time of the shooting. Scheitel believes Lewis shot and killed Compton inside a home in Falls City before he turned the gun on himself. Autopsies are pending for both Compton and Lewis. Police said there is no threat to the public.
Court documents show Compton filed a protection order against Lewis on July 14, and Lewis filed one against her two days later. Both protection orders were denied on July 22.
