Jaida Perdue Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified the woman who was fatally shot on Tuesday afternoon at a Kansas City apartment complex as 24-year-old Jaida Perdue.
Law enforcement officers arrived shortly after noon on Tuesday in response to a reported shooting in the 8700 block of Countryshire Lane. Upon arrival at the apartment, they discovered Perdue with a gunshot wound. Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.
Investigators present at the location suspect that the shooting occurred following a dispute between two individuals. A person of interest was apprehended at the scene; however, police have not disclosed that individual’s involvement in the shooting.
Anyone possessing information is encouraged to reach out to the Kansas City Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 816‑234‑5043 or submit an anonymous tip via the TIPS Hotline at 816‑474‑TIPS. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
