Jacqueline Pryber Obituary, Death;- A man from Wilkinsburg has been charged with homicide following the discovery of a woman’s body inside a vehicle in Westmoreland County.
On November 17, the Washington Township Police received information regarding a potential homicide, along with details about a suspect and the vehicle involved.
At approximately 2 p.m., officers located the vehicle parked outside a residence on the 2500 block of Turkey Ridge Road. Upon inspection, they found a deceased woman inside, covered with blankets and a duffel bag.
The deceased was later identified as 66-year-old Jacqueline Pryber.
Detectives from the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office sought assistance from the Allegheny County Police Department after discovering that the homicide occurred in their jurisdiction.
As per police reports, detectives concluded that Shawn Higgins, aged 62, struck Pryber multiple times, resulting in her death, while in his vehicle on the 9000 block of Saltsburg Road in Plum Borough.
Higgins has been apprehended and is facing charges of criminal homicide. He is presently held at the Allegheny County Jail.
