Jackie Spicer Obituary, Death; Police ID 53-year-old man killed from injuries in Ogletown motorcycle crash

Jackie Spicer Obituary, Death;- A 53-year-old motorcyclist, who was riding on Chestnut Hill Road in Ogletown, tragically lost his life after being struck by a car on the evening of August 23.

The Delaware State Police have identified the motorcyclist as Jackie Spicer, hailing from Elkton, Maryland.

Spicer, as reported by the police, was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and was approaching North Kingston Road in the left lane around 8 p.m. Concurrently, a 44-year-old woman from Newark was driving a Buick LaCrosse in the left turn lane, heading eastbound on Chestnut Hill Road.

As the Buick attempted to make a left turn onto North Kingston Road, the motorcycle collided with the rear passenger side of the vehicle, resulting in Spicer being ejected from his motorcycle.
According to police reports, he was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Unfortunately, due to the injuries sustained in the crash, Spicer passed away on August 25. The woman driving the Buick was not injured in the incident.
