Jack Murray Death; Boy killed in skiing accident on Cranmore Mountain identified as Massachusetts 7th grader

Jack Murray Death; – A 12-year-old boy who tragically lost his life in a skiing accident at Cranmore Mountain in North Conway on New Year’s Eve has been identified as a middle school student from Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Jack Murray, a seventh grader, was an active member of the school band, playing both the trombone and drums. He also participated in soccer, was a member of the wrestling team, and created his own shirts for sale online.

On Tuesday, ski patrol at Cranmore responded to an emergency call regarding a skier found unconscious on a trail. Rescuers administered CPR before he was transported to Memorial Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

Authorities suspect that he collided with a tree during the incident. At the time of the accident, he was wearing a helmet. In Jack’s memory, his family is requesting that donations be made to the Maria Chapman Middle School band.
