Issa Sheriff Obituary, Death; – Delaware State Police have identified the victim of a fatal incident on I-495 as Issa Sheriff, a 35-year-old man from Pennsylvania.
Sheriff, who resided in Darby, Pennsylvania, was driving a 2011 Ford Fusion that became disabled shortly before 5 a.m. on Monday. The vehicle was located in the center lane of northbound I-495, just prior to the Route 13 exit, according to police reports.
While Sheriff was standing in front of his car, a 2019 Jeep Comanche, traveling in the same lane, collided with the Ford. The force of the impact propelled the Ford forward, striking Sheriff and a guardrail on the right shoulder of the road. Following the collision, the Jeep came to a halt in the left lane of northbound I-495. The driver of the Jeep, a 34-year-old woman from Newark, was reported to be unharmed.
