Isaiah Locke Obituary, Death; – Two residents of Rockford are currently facing first-degree murder charges after authorities reported that they shot and killed a man in a gas station parking lot in Rockford.
As per a news release issued by the Rockford Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:10 p.m. on September 7 in the parking area of Stop-N-Go, located at 2211 Charles St.
The release indicates that officers arrived at the scene to discover a 21-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspects have been identified by police as Ladavion Crawford, 18, and Madison Shackleford, 20, both residents of Rockford. They have been arrested and are currently held at the Winnebago County Jail on charges of first-degree murder.
The victim has been identified by the Winnebago County Coroner’s office as Isaiah Locke, also from Rockford.
An autopsy has confirmed that Locke’s death was due to a gunshot wound, according to the release.
