Ireland Ehrfurth Death; – An 11-year-old girl, identified as Ireland Ehrfurth, tragically lost her life after being struck by a vehicle while riding her bicycle. The incident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the 1200 block of Western Avenue, close to the Napa Auto Parts store.
According to the Mosinee Police Department, a 54-year-old man from Kronenwetter was driving a pick-up truck westbound on Western Avenue as he approached the intersection with Willow Street. The bicyclist was hit while crossing Western Avenue in a northbound direction.
Authorities reported that the driver was cooperative throughout the investigation and was allowed to leave the scene. They confirmed that neither speed nor alcohol contributed to the accident. During the investigation, both lanes of traffic on Western Avenue were closed, with the roadway reopening at 12:45 a.m. on Thursday. Ehrfurth was a student at Mosinee Middle School.
