Hurleyon McLean Obituary, Death; – A man has lost his life, and another individual has been taken into custody following an incident in Florida on Thanksgiving, where the victim’s wife reported that he was shot during a confrontation regarding loud music.
Rose McLean is devastated after her 72-year-old husband, Hurleyon McLean, was fatally shot just outside their residence. She recounted that the incident stemmed from a trivial disagreement with a neighbor.
“He was playing his music, and the neighbor complained that it was too loud, prompting my husband to confront him,” Rose McLean explained. She stated that shortly thereafter, she heard the sound of the gunfire that claimed her husband’s life.
“I was inside changing my clothes when I heard a gunshot, and I rushed outside because I knew my husband had gone out,” she recounted. “That is when I found him lying on the ground.” Rose McLean also mentioned that the shooter threatened her as well. “He was very aggressive when I asked him why he shot my husband,” she said. “He told me to be quiet or he would shoot me too.”
During an evening prayer vigil, the family’s pastor sought to provide solace to them. This task proved to be particularly challenging on a day meant for gratitude and family gatherings. “Today is exceptionally distressing. It is alarming how humanity has reached a point where we fail to value life as we ought to,” Pastor Tracy McCloud remarked.
