Hunter Loomis Obituary, Death;- Police have identified a motorcyclist killed Thursday afternoon in a crash on Route 63 that involved a pickup truck towing a trailer.
The man killed was Hunter Loomis 20, of the Oakville section of Watertown, the town’s police department said in a news release. The crash was reported around 3 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Litchfield Road, also known as Route 63.
“Preliminary investigation showed that the crash involved a pickup truck pulling a trailer and a motorcycle,” the release said. Loomis sustained serious injuries in the crash and was taken to the hospital, where he later was later pronounced dead, police said.
The 33-year-old Waterbury driver of the truck reported no injuries. The release did not say how the two vehicles were involved in the crash. Watertown police said the department and the Naugatuck Valley Regional Accident Investigation Team are investigating.
