Harrell Jackson Jr Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian was fatally struck in a collision early Tuesday morning in eastern Nebraska, according to the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 5 a.m., deputies were alerted to a pedestrian dressed in dark clothing walking along Highway 2 near Nebraska City.
Before the deputies could arrive, the pedestrian, later identified as 18-year-old Harrell Jackson Jr. from Omaha, was struck by a vehicle. Emergency responders attempted to save Jackson’s life; however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The sheriff’s office reported that Jackson was walking in the traffic lane of the Highway 2 on-ramp at the time of the incident. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
