Harley Reese Obituary, Death; – The third individual involved in a shooting incident in Shenandoah during the early hours of Thursday has succumbed to his injuries.

The Montour County Coroner’s Office has verified that 31-year-old Harley Reese, one of the casualties from last week’s triple shooting in Shenandoah, has passed away due to injuries sustained during the event.

As reported by the Coroner’s Office, Reese sustained a gunshot wound to the head during the early morning shooting on July 3, 2025. He was declared brain dead at 3:48 p.m. on July 4 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. An autopsy is set to take place on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Forensic Pathology Associates in Lehigh Valley.

The investigation into this tragic shooting remains ongoing and is being carried out collaboratively by the Montour County Coroner’s Office, Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office, and the Pennsylvania State Police at Hazleton. At the time of this report, State Police have not disclosed any further information regarding the case.

Two individuals were killed, and Reese was critically injured during the early hours of Thursday, July 3, following a shooting at a residence located at 307 West Centre Street in Shenandoah.

Authorities were first notified when a woman reached out to the Shenandoah Police Department around 1 a.m., stating she had received a distressing text message that read, “Everyone’s dead,” from someone inside the residence.

Multiple local police departments—including Shenandoah, Frackville, Mahanoy Township, and West Mahanoy Township—responded to the scene. Upon their arrival, officers forcibly entered the home and encountered a young juvenile who reportedly stated, “I need help. Daddy just shot mom and granddad.”

Inside, police discovered an older man deceased on the couch of the first floor. As officers proceeded to clear the second floor, they heard a single gunshot. A subsequent search revealed another deceased male near a bedroom and a woman suffering from critical gunshot wounds. She was airlifted to Geisinger Medical Center, where she is currently receiving treatment in intensive care.

The two males were identified by the Schuylk.
