Hannah Kang,Youree Kang Obituary, Death; – Austin police have confirmed the identity of the woman who was fatally involved in a murder-suicide incident in Northwest Austin.
On September 24, at approximately 12:16 p.m., a family member contacted 911 to request a welfare check on her niece and her niece’s husband at 5705 Diehl Trail. The caller expressed concern, stating that she had not been in contact with either individual for the previous 24 hours. At around 1:13 p.m., the same caller reached out again, indicating that she was at the couple’s residence but received no response at the door, despite their vehicle being parked outside.
Officers arrived at the location at 2:33 p.m. Upon entering the apartment, they discovered the deceased couple. The individuals were later identified as Hannah Kang, aged 25, and Youree Kang, aged 34. Authorities have indicated that evidence suggests Youree was responsible for Hannah’s death before taking his own life.
