Hampton Calvin Obituary, Death; – A 38-year-old man who was hit and killed by a train at a Metro station in South Los Angeles was named by authorities on Tuesday.
Officers arrived at the 4300 block of Crenshaw Boulevard around 7:09 a.m. on Monday after receiving reports of a man who had fallen onto the tracks at the Leimert Park Station and was subsequently struck by a train, as stated by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Firefighters discovered a deceased individual on the tracks, according to Lyndsey Lantz from the Los Angeles Fire Department. On Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Hampton Calvin.
The circumstances surrounding how he ended up on the tracks remain unclear.
