Gregory Varnado Death; – A body located within a burned vehicle in Lawrence County has been confirmed as that of a missing individual. The remains were uncovered earlier this month when a property owner discovered the charred car on his land. Inside the vehicle was the deceased man. The individual has been identified as Gregory Varnado, who had been reported missing since August.
At the time of his disappearance, family members indicated that he had a medical condition that could have affected his decision-making abilities. In a statement released on Tuesday, Lawrence County Sheriff Ryan Everett noted that the cause and manner of Varnado’s death have yet to be determined. The investigation is ongoing.
