Gerald Russell Obituary, Death; – A man from Petersburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday evening after the SUV he was operating reportedly veered into a ditch along a rural road in Pike County. The Indiana State Police are currently investigating the single-vehicle accident. The victim has been identified as 73-year-old Gerald Russell.
As per a news release from the state police, the incident took place at approximately 11:20 p.m. on Monday, near the intersection of Cart Road and County Road 250 West. Authorities indicated that Russell was driving a “Honda four-wheeler.”
“For reasons yet to be determined, his vehicle departed the roadway on the north side, struck the ditch, and rolled over multiple times,” the statement noted. The Pike County Coroner’s Office declared Russell deceased at the scene. The investigation by the ISP is still in progress.
