George Sanchez Obituary, Death; – A 45-year-old man who was fatally struck while attempting to cross the Golden State (5) Freeway in the Arleta region of the San Fernando Valley was identified on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at 1:44 a.m. on Saturday. Officers from the California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene, located at the southbound freeway and the Osborne Street off-ramp, where they discovered the man lying near the slow lane, as reported by CHP Officer Sergio Garcia to City News Service.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later confirmed his identity as George Sanchez. The CHP temporarily closed two lanes of the freeway to conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
