Gage Barrow Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the individual who was shot and killed outside the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Salt Lake City Police, 30-year-old Gage Barrow was fatally wounded outside the Maverik located at 185 South State Street at approximately 12:18 p.m. on October 5. The suspect, 49-year-old Farshad Hassan-Pouri, has been apprehended and faces murder charges.
Upon their arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered Barrow lying on the ground in the parking lot behind the Maverik, suffering from a gunshot injury. Officers, firefighters, and bystanders—including an emergency room nurse—attempted to provide immediate lifesaving assistance; however, Barrow was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe that a confrontation took place between Barrow and Hassan-Pouri prior to the shooting.
