Franklin Frakes,Florentina Frakes Obituary, Death; – A Texas man was apprehended in handcuffs after being accused of murdering his father and stepmother while playing poker at a club, according to deputies. Benjamin Frakes, 39, was sought by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in relation to the deadly shooting of a couple in their residence in Spring.
The victims were identified as 72-year-old Franklin Frakes, the suspect’s father, and 56-year-old Florentina Frakes, his stepmother. A neighbor, concerned after hearing gunfire the previous night, went to check on the couple on May 16 and discovered them deceased from gunshot wounds. Authorities believe the couple was killed on May 15 when Benjamin Frakes unlawfully entered their home.
The father reportedly attempted to defend himself, resulting in injuries to the accused shooter. Upon his arrest, Benjamin Frakes was found in possession of cocaine and other drugs, as well as two firearms, according to Precinct 4 deputies. He faces charges of capital murder. Additionally, authorities are actively searching for a black Mercedes SUV with Texas license plate LPB-2783, which is believed to have been taken by the suspect.
