Fnu Himanshu Arrested; – A 19-year-old individual has been apprehended on suspicion of driving under the influence, resulting in the death of a woman during a multi-vehicle accident in Clovis.
Clovis Police responded to notifications of the incident at the intersection of Gettysburg and Fowler Avenues shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers discovered that five vehicles were involved in the collision.
According to investigators, the 19-year-old, identified as Fnu Himanshu, was traveling at a high speed westbound on Gettysburg when he disregarded a red traffic signal and collided with a silver Hyundai in the intersection.
The impact caused both vehicles to spin and subsequently strike three cars parked in the driveways of nearby residences. Himanshu, along with two of his passengers and two occupants of the Hyundai, was transported to the hospital.
A woman in the silver Hyundai, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Himanshu is currently receiving treatment for his injuries and is expected to be booked into the Fresno County Jail on several felony charges, including driving under the influence.
