Faizaan Awan Obituary, Death; – Hamilton Police have confirmed the identity of a teenager who was fatally shot following a car chase in Stoney Creek on Thursday.
The victim, sixteen-year-old Faizaan Awan, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital after being shot at approximately 4:20 a.m. in the vicinity of Highway 8 and Fruitland Road. According to investigators, Awan was operating an Acura traveling eastbound on Highway 8 while being pursued by several vehicles.
The pursuit concluded with a collision between the Acura and a Kia, occurring just east of Fruitland Road. Subsequently, multiple gunshots were discharged at the Acura. Several individuals then fled the scene in vehicles and on foot, leaving Faizaan behind.
The area was cordoned off for several hours to facilitate the police investigation. At this time, there are no available descriptions of the suspects.
