Ethan Hale Obituary, Death; – The victim from the deadly crash on Bijou Street at I-25 has been identified as 30-year-old Ethan Hale, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). Police were reportedly dispatched to the intersection of I-25 and West Bijou Street on May 1 at 4:35 p.m.
Throughout the investigation, police determined that the vehicle was traveling east on Bijou Street and the motorcycle was traveling west in the left through lane on West Bijou Street. As the motorcycle approached the intersection, police say the vehicle started to make a left turn to go north on I-25. The motorcycle entered the intersection, hitting the right side of the vehicle, and both the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were thrown.
Members of the Colorado Springs Fire Department and American Medical Response reportedly provided medical care to all three people involved. The three were taken to the hospital with injuries ranging from moderate to life-threatening. Hale, the driver of the motorcycle, died after arriving at the hospital. Police say this is the 10th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs this year.
