Entertainment NEWS; – Ben Affleck displayed evident joy while receiving food delivery at his rental residence in Brentwood, California, just days after his estranged spouse, Jennifer Lopez, initiated divorce proceedings.
Images acquired by Page Six show the “Gone Girl” star smiling broadly as he accepted his Jack In the Box order from a delivery driver who arrived in a white vehicle on Saturday.
Affleck, aged 52, donned a blue Nirvana T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers while retrieving his meal and beverages. On Tuesday, Lopez filed for divorce after a brief two-year marriage to Affleck.
Court documents reviewed by Page Six reveal that the “Selena” actress cited irreconcilable differences as the basis for the dissolution and indicated April 26, 2024, as the date of separation.
Lopez, aged 55, also relinquished her right to spousal support and requested that the court deny Affleck the same privilege.
The former co-stars of “Gigli” did not establish a prenuptial agreement, which means that any income or assets acquired during their marriage may be classified as “community property” and subject to equal division.
A confidant of Lopez informed Page Six that she made every effort to salvage their marriage but suggested that Affleck possesses a “darkness” within him.
Another source indicated that issues between the couple began during their honeymoon in Italy.
“He was displeased with the paparazzi trailing them. Given her status as an international superstar, it seemed surprising that he was unprepared for the attention,” the insider remarked.
Furthermore, the source noted that when the couple was not in the public eye, they “barely communicated during what was meant to be the happiest period of their lives.”
“He convinced her that he had transformed, but that façade lasted only a brief time.”
While the mother of two and the “Argo” actor spent the majority of the summer apart, he has been seen socializing with new acquaintances.
Page Six has exclusively reported that Affleck has recently been spending time with Kick Kennedy, the 36-year-old daughter of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
The two were spotted enjoying each other’s company at the Polo Lounge in Beverly Hills.
