Emma Baum MISSING; – The family of a woman from northern Indiana, who claimed to be nine months pregnant at the time of her disappearance over a month ago, is urgently seeking assistance from the public in finding her.
Emma Baum, 25, was last seen on October 10 at her boyfriend’s residence located near the intersection of 25th Avenue and Connecticut Street, approximately two miles directly south of downtown Gary, as reported by her family and the Gary Police Department.
Authorities have described the missing individual as being 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 136 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. A flyer shared by her family online indicates that she has multiple tattoos and scars on her arms.
“She is due to give birth soon,” stated Baum’s sister, Hailey Baum, on a Facebook flyer featuring the missing woman’s image. “Please, anyone with information…” Her sister expressed her relentless efforts in searching for Emma, who is also a mother to three other children.
“I have approached pedestrians and spoken to anyone I could find. We are checking abandoned properties,” the sister informed CBS News. “We will continue to search for her. I will never cease looking for her,” emphasized the woman’s mother, Jamie Baum.
“My sister is beautiful and full of life. She aspires to achieve great things, much like a sunflower, which is her favorite flower,” shared Abby Smith, another sister, with NBC5 in Chicago.
The boyfriend of the missing woman, who is also the father of her unborn child, was apprehended due to an unrelated court warrant for failure to appear, as reported by the outlet. Police Commander Jack Hamady noted that the boyfriend has not been charged in relation to the disappearance.
