Emily Sanchez-Ramirez Obituary, Death: – The Traffic Unit of the Metro Nashville Police Department has identified Walter Daneris Zuniga, a 39-year-old individual originally from Honduras, also known as Daneri Varela, as the driver involved in the fatal accident on Nolensville Pike.
This tragic event, which took place on Saturday evening, resulted in the death of 10-year-old Emily Sanchez-Ramirez and left her mother, Laura Ramirez-Gonzalez, in critical condition while they were traveling in the bike lane on an electric scooter.
Zuniga is suspected of operating a red Nissan Sentra that was implicated in the incident. On Tuesday morning, Metro investigators issued nine warrants for his arrest, which include charges of vehicular homicide due to reckless conduct, reckless endangerment, fleeing the scene of a fatal accident, and tampering with evidence.
Emily Sanchez-Ramirez passed away from her injuries on Sunday, while her 28-year-old mother, Laura Ramirez-Gonzalez, continues to be in critical condition at the hospital. The damaged red Nissan Sentra was located at Zuniga’s residence on Radnor Street on Monday, following a tip received by Crime Stoppers.
