Elizabeth Lennard Obituary, Death; – The individual who was fatally shot in Rambert Village on Sunday night has been recognized as Elizabeth Lennard.

Lennard, who is also referred to as Mary, was a 59-year-old housewife residing on Recreation Ground Road, Grants Road, Rousillac. She was discovered deceased in a vehicle located on Church Street, Rambert Village, on Sunday night, an incident that the police are investigating as a potential homicide.

As per police reports, at approximately 10:20 PM, officers patrolling the La Romain Police District received a notification from the E999 Command Centre concerning an unresponsive individual inside a vehicle.

Upon their arrival, they encountered a white Nissan AD Wagon parked across the roadway, with blood evident on the left rear passenger door. Inside the front passenger seat, they found the body of a woman, later confirmed to be Lennard, reclined and exhibiting visible facial injuries. The vehicle’s engine was still operational, and the front driver’s side door was ajar.

An informant present at the scene informed the police that moments prior, a 63-year-old man—subsequently identified as Lennard’s husband—arrived at her residence with blood on his clothing and facial injuries. The man asserted that he and his wife had been shot near a roundabout in Debe, and that she had succumbed to her injuries in the vehicle. He reportedly fled the scene in a state of panic shortly thereafter.

Officers later located the injured man approximately 150 meters away in a poorly lit side street. He had suffered multiple injuries, including gunshot wounds to his face, jaw, forearm, and upper thigh. Emergency Health Services were summoned, and he was transported to the San Fernando General Hospital, where he is currently hospitalized.

The District Medical Officer arrived at the scene and officially declared Lennard deceased. Crime Scene Investigators collected several items of evidential significance from the location, including one 9mm projectile, a spent shell casing marked with CBC Luger 9mm, blood samples, and swabs for gunshot residue.
