Edward Gray Obituary, – A man from Indianapolis has been charged with murder following a fatal shooting that occurred on the 1700 block of 34th Street on August 23. This location is situated near the intersection of 34th Street and Ralston Avenue on the near north side of the city. Vincent Price Jr. faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
During the incident, two women present at the gathering recounted the events to law enforcement. They reported that Price was outside the residence, vocally expressing his defiance. He allegedly proclaimed, “ain’t nobody going to do s*** to me. I’m not scared of nobody,” while striking his other hand with his fist.
Subsequently, the women stated that Price brandished a firearm and discharged a single shot. They retreated to their vehicle until Price departed, reportedly accompanied by his brother.
The mother of one of the women indicated that a man had been shot inside the house. Upon entering, they discovered Edward Gray lying on the floor. One woman supported Gray’s head while a neighbor administered CPR. She urged Gray to “stay with us,” but he was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
The women recognized Price by the nickname “Porkskin” and identified him in a police lineup. Law enforcement also conducted an interview with Price, who denied any involvement in the shooting. He claimed to have had an argument with another individual over the theft of his phone and some money, asserting that he left the scene prior to the shooting and that others were merely speaking ill of him due to personal animosities.
