Drew Davis Obituary, Death; – On August 8, the Topeka police disclosed that Drew Davis, aged 42, from Topeka, was the victim of a homicide, having been fatally shot late on August 6 in the 100 block of N.W. Kendall Avenue.
The police are still conducting their investigation but have not yet made any arrests.
According to police Lt. Ronnie Connell, Davis became the 14th homicide victim in Topeka this year. In comparison, the city had recorded 11 homicides by August 8 of the previous year, ultimately concluding that year with a total of 22.
Connell reported that officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 11:15 p.m. on August 6, which is situated just north of SW 1st Street and roughly 10 blocks west of SW Topeka Boulevard.
Connell stated that Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. On the morning of August 7, police had set up yellow crime scene tape behind a residence located at 124 NW Kendall Ave.
