Donnell Martin Obituary, Death; – A Manhattan man was killed Monday evening in a single-vehicle crash in Doniphan County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported the crash around 6:28 p.m. on US-36 highway, about half a mile east of Blackjack Road near Highland.
Troopers say a 2007 Peterbilt semi-truck went off the north side of the road, hit a culvert and a fence, then continued into a cornfield where it came to rest upright.
The driver, identified as 54-year-old Donnell Martin of Manhattan, was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s currently unknown whether Martin was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
