Donald Dent Jr,James Johnson Arrested; – Officials from the York County District Attorney’s Office have disclosed the identities of two individuals charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in West York Borough.
Donald Dent Jr., aged 24, and James Johnson, aged 43, both residents of York city, face charges of homicide, attempted homicide, and aggravated assault, as reported by law enforcement. Furthermore, Johnson has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.
On August 15, at approximately 8:17 p.m., officers responded to a call at the first block of South Highland Avenue, where they discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital for additional medical care. Osha Copeland, aged 23, was subsequently pronounced dead due to his injuries. The second victim involved in the incident underwent several surgeries for gunshot wounds sustained in his legs, according to police reports.
Authorities indicated that they were able to identify the suspects through video surveillance footage from the area, as well as cell phone records.
