Dochorn M. Clayton GENERAL; – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking a man in relation to a shooting incident that occurred in Center Point last Saturday.

The individual in question has been identified as 33-year-old Dochorn M. Clayton. On September 7, deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a shooting in the 5400 Block of Livingston Oaks Circle.

Upon their arrival, deputies discovered a 43-year-old man who had sustained a gunshot wound. The Center Point Fire and Rescue Service subsequently transported the victim to UAB Hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

Initial investigations indicated that an altercation between Clayton and the victim escalated into violence, resulting in Clayton shooting the victim before fleeing the scene.

Clayton has been charged with Attempted Murder, with a bond set at $60,000, as well as Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, which carries a $15,000 bond. The cumulative bond amount has been established at $75,000.
