Diellon Daniels Death; – Authorities have identified an 8-year-old victim who lost his life in a shooting incident on Wednesday, during which a vehicle carrying his mother and siblings was hit by gunfire multiple times.
The shooting was deliberate, yet the intended target escaped injury; instead, the vehicle containing the woman and her five children was affected. Two juveniles sustained injuries, and tragically, 8-year-old Diellon Daniels succumbed to his wounds. The Baton Rouge Police Department has stated that the motive for the shooting and the identity of the suspect remain unknown.
Chief TJ Morse reported that at approximately 2:20 p.m., one vehicle approached another at the intersection of Swan and Kingfisher Avenues. Officers discovered a vehicle that had been shot multiple times parked outside Lofton Hair Care, located near Southern University’s campus.
