Devin Fontenot Obituary, Death; – Jamestown Police have confirmed the identity of the individual who was fatally shot by law enforcement early on Tuesday morning. The deceased, 27-year-old Devin Fontenot, was shot outside a bar on that day.
According to police reports, Fontenot did not adhere to a directive from a Jamestown Police Officer to relinquish his weapon, and his behavior posed a threat to the safety of the officer and others present.
In the aftermath of the incident, four officers from the Jamestown Police Department have been placed on paid administrative leave. The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is currently conducting an investigation into the shooting.
