Destiny Voss Obituary, Death; – On Tuesday, law enforcement officials identified the ninth homicide victim in Topeka for the year 2025, who was shot and killed over the weekend.
The deceased has been named as Destiny Voss, 28, a resident of Topeka.
Authorities reported that officers were dispatched to a local hospital around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, where a man was admitted for treatment of a life-threatening gunshot injury. Shortly thereafter, the victim — who was later confirmed to be Voss — was declared dead at the hospital. As of Tuesday morning, further details regarding the location of the shooting had not been disclosed.
No arrests had been made by Tuesday morning. Topeka recorded eight homicides as of July 6 last year. The capital city concluded the year 2024 with a total of 22 officially recorded homicides. As of Tuesday morning, no additional information was available.
