Desirae May Cote Obituary, Death; – A pedestrian was struck and fatally injured by a vehicle on a busy highway in Upstate South Carolina early Thursday morning.
At approximately 4 a.m., the Pickens County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene of a collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 123, close to Grace Drive, just outside of Easley, South Carolina.
As reported by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was struck by a Ford pickup truck that was heading south on Highway 123. Subsequently, a second unidentified vehicle collided with the pedestrian again.
Authorities indicated that the second vehicle fled the scene. The deceased has been identified as Desirae May Cote, a 30-year-old resident of St. Petersburg, Florida. The investigation into the cause and manner of death is ongoing, and an autopsy has been scheduled as part of this inquiry.
The Pickens County Coroner’s Office, along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, is continuing the investigation.
