Derek Marshall Obituary, Death; – Police in Van Buren have identified the person found dead near the Arkansas River as a man from Oklahoma.
On the evening of Nov. 14, police said they responded to the south end of Lee Creek Drive at the Arkansas River after someone reported finding a body at the bank of the river.
Officers identified the victim as 30-year-old Derek Marshall from Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Detectives said this is being investigated as a homicide. Details on a suspect have not been released.
