Dennis Recker Obituary, Death;- The Beaufort County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the man who was shot and killed within a care facility on Hilton Head Island on Friday.
As reported by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the Preston Health Center on Friday at approximately 10:30 a.m. following a report of a shooting incident.
Harriett Kay Recker, aged 82, from Sun City, was discovered alongside her husband, who succumbed to his injuries.
Recker has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
On Monday, the coroner’s office identified the deceased as Dennis Recker, aged 81, from Bluffton.
The investigation remains active.
