Dennis Lewis Jr Obituary, Death; – The Lake County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a 35-year-old man from Round Lake Beach who was fatally injured when his motorcycle collided with a semi-truck on Friday evening.
According to a news release from the coroner’s office, autopsy results indicate that Dennis Lewis Jr. succumbed to blunt force trauma to the head and neck due to the accident that occurred at the intersection of Route 175 and Bradley Road in Green Oaks.
The incident took place around 2:35 p.m. on Friday, when a 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling west on Route 176 collided with a 2008 Peterbilt semi-truck that was making a left turn from Route 176 onto Bradley Road, as reported in a news release from the sheriff’s office.
Authorities stated that Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the semi-truck did not sustain any injuries. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Technical Crash Investigations Team is currently investigating the cause of the collision.
