Deneal P Maxey Obituary, Death; – A 19-year-old male was fatally shot on Wednesday morning in the West Side area, as reported by the Chicago police.
According to the police, the incident took place at approximately 11:54 a.m. in the 5200 block of West Gladys Avenue, located in the Austin neighborhood.
The victim was positioned near the sidewalk when two individuals approached him, brandished firearms, and commenced shooting.
The 19-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the head and multiple wounds to the body. He was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries less than an hour later.
The Cook County medical examiner has identified the victim as Deneal P. Maxey, a resident of Chicago. He resided on the same block where the shooting took place. Authorities have not released any descriptions of the suspects nor clarified whether the shooting was a random act or a targeted attack.
Currently, no individuals are in custody, and the investigation is being conducted by Area Four detectives.
