Demon M Galvin and MyEshia O Barnes Obituary, Death; – Authorities have disclosed the identities of two residents from Saginaw who tragically lost their lives in a recent vehicular accident within the city.

Demon M. Galvin and My’Eshia O. Barnes, both aged 24, sustained fatal injuries in a collision that occurred around 3:50 a.m. on Sunday, December 1.

Law enforcement responded to reports of a vehicle on fire in the vicinity of Hess Avenue and Birch Park Drive, near the Birch Park Apartments. Upon arrival, they discovered a black 2018 Dodge Durango on its side, leaning against a brick pillar, with its front end fully engulfed in flames.

It appeared that the Durango had collided with a utility pole. The force of the impact resulted in Barnes and another 24-year-old woman being ejected from the vehicle, while Galvin remained trapped inside.

Officers attempted to extinguish the flames using fire extinguishers, but their efforts were in vain. Firefighters from Saginaw subsequently arrived and successfully put out the fire.

Emergency personnel pronounced both Barnes and Galvin dead at the scene. The other woman, a resident of Bridgeport, was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.

The Saginaw County Multijurisdictional Traffic Crash Team is currently investigating the incident, with preliminary findings suggesting that speed may have been a contributing factor. The fatalities of Barnes and Galvin mark the third and fourth traffic-related deaths in the city within a matter of weeks.

Earlier, at approximately 3:50 p.m. on November 15, a red 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a white 2001 Chevrolet Express van collided while traveling in opposite directions at the intersection of East Genesee Avenue and Ruckle Street on the East Side of the city. One vehicle crossed the center line, resulting in a head-on collision with the other.

Both vehicles caught fire following the impact, and emergency responders pronounced the drivers dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was identified as Jayden Burnett, 24, while the driver of the van was identified as Scintayvian McMullen, 22.
