Demi Wisecarver Obituary, Death; – The Clarion County Coroner has confirmed the identity of the individual who lost his life in a single-vehicle accident that occurred late Thursday night in Farmington Township.
Clarion County Coroner Dan Shingledecker has identified the victim as Demi Wisecarver, 67, from Zanesville, Ohio. He succumbed to accidental blunt force injuries, as stated by Shingledecker.
The incident took place at approximately 10:54 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, on State Route 66, roughly seven-tenths of a mile north of the junction of Route 66 and 36 in Leeper, according to a statement from the Marienville-based State Police.
According to police reports, a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia was heading south on State Route 66 when it veered off the west side of the roadway for reasons that remain unclear.
The vehicle continued southward for about 138 feet, colliding with a culvert. It then traveled an additional 56 feet before impacting a telephone pole support wire, as reported by the police. The vehicle proceeded for another 90 feet before coming to a stop.
Wisecarver, the operator of the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle, according to police accounts.
A front seat passenger was also ejected and sustained serious injuries. This individual was airlifted to Penn Highlands DuBois for medical treatment, as indicated in the report. The identity of the passenger has not yet been disclosed.
The Farmington Township Fire Department, Clarion EMS, and Minich’s Towing provided assistance at the scene.
