Decker House Obituary, Death; – The person killed in a two-vehicle accident in Hymera this past weekend has been identified as 68-year-old Decker House, according to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
“Please keep his family in your prayers as they cope with losing a loved one,” said Sullivan County Sheriff Jason Bobbitt. “This is an ongoing investigation. More information will be released when the investigation is complete about the other driver.”
The accident happened near the intersection of Jackson and Oak Street in Hymera on Saturday, August 2.
The sheriff’s office said the crash led to House being entrapped in his vehicle before rescue personnel were able to extricate him from the vehicle and get him loaded into an ambulance. House was then transported to a local hospital and later passed away.
The other driver involved in the crash was also transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Their name has not been released at this time.
