Deborah A Cummings Obituary, Death; – The identity of a woman who perished in a garage fire over the weekend has been disclosed by the Morgan County Coroner.
Deborah A. Cummings, aged 63, was discovered following a fire that occurred on Sunday morning in Jacksonville.
According to the fire department, emergency crews arrived at South Diamond Street around 10 a.m. to find a detached garage fully engulfed in flames. Cummings was located after the fire was brought under control and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner’s office reported that preliminary findings indicate her death resulted from burns and smoke inhalation. Additionally, one man was transported to the hospital due to smoke-related injuries. The State Fire Marshal and the Morgan County Coroner’s office are conducting an investigation.
