Davin Bostock Obituary, Death: – Fort Cavazos officials have confirmed the identity of the 20-year-old soldier who tragically lost his life in a crash on Sunday on Twin Creek Drive in Killeen as Pvt. Davin Bostock, a fire control specialist with the 3rd Field Artillery Battalion, 3rd Cavalry Regiment.

The incident occurred early Sunday morning when Killeen police responded to a report at 4:53 a.m. regarding a weapons-related altercation outside Spadez Nightclub on East Veterans Memorial Boulevard. During the police response, a suspect fled the scene in a red 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, leading to a brief pursuit. The chase ended in tragedy when the Camaro lost control on the 100 block of S. Twin Creek Drive, struck a utility pole, and was propelled over railroad tracks.

Bostock, who was operating the Camaro, was pronounced dead at the scene. The collision caused extensive damage to the vehicle and surrounding infrastructure, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.

The Army’s 1st Cavalry Division, which oversees Bostock’s regiment, released a statement expressing sorrow over his passing. “The First Cavalry Division is profoundly saddened by the loss of Pvt. Davin Deshun Bostock, and our thoughts and condolences are with the trooper’s family and friends,” the statement noted, highlighting the unit’s commitment to supporting Bostock’s loved ones during this challenging time.

Bostock enlisted in the Army earlier in 2024 and had already received the Army Achievement Medal, which honors outstanding performance in a soldier’s duties. Although his service was brief, it made a significant impact on his unit and fellow soldiers.

Killeen police have not provided additional information regarding the events leading up to the crash but are actively pursuing the investigation.
