David Woods Obituary, Death; – One individual has lost their life as a result of a single-vehicle accident in Oneida County on Friday afternoon.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the incident on County Highway J in the town of Newbold shortly after 3 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered that the vehicle had veered off the road and collided with a tree. Efforts to revive the driver were unsuccessful. The deceased driver has been identified as 71-year-old David Woods from Arbor Vitae.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from the Woodruff Police Department, the Minocqua Police Department, the Wisconsin State Patrol, Oneida County Ambulance, St. Germaine Fire Department and First Responders, as well as the Oneida County Medical Examiner. A MEDEVAC was requested but was subsequently canceled prior to its arrival. The Wisconsin State Patrol is currently conducting the investigation into the crash.
